FAQs

This list of FAQs will grow as more and more questions are asked!

 1. Have you studied Greek? Yes, I studied Greek offically for 5 years at 2 semaries prior to graduation with a double Lic.Th. in 1985. I went on to do pre-doctoral studies but have not completed those studies yet. For the following 35 years I unpacked the Greek of the New Testament nearly every week as I prepared sermons.

 2. Are you available to come to my Church and do a weekend ‘Greek in a Day’ seminar? It is possible. Reach out to me by email for more information.

 3. Are there any other courses availabe that you teach? No, this is the only course that is being offered at this stage.

 4. Can I do the course if I do not have access to the internet? No - because so much of the learning is internet based, you cannot complete the work unless you have access to the web.

 5. Will I really be able to translate the New Testament after I have finished the couse? Yes, you will be able to do an accurate, authoritative translation of any verse and be able to parse any word in the New Testament - if you complete the course.

 6. How can you teach Greek without us having to study vocab? You will learn a few words during the course. The great advantage of studying vocab is the ability to conversate. We are not teaching you how to talk Greek - but to unpack it accurately. Even if you could speak Greek, there is nowhere in the world that Koine (Hellenistic) Greek is spoken. As everything we have is written down in the Koine Greek text, we start wth the written text, So it is not as important to learn vocab off by heart. If you continue to study using the tools that are available, you will eventually become familiar with much of the vocab in the New Testament anyway.

 7. Will I receive a certification on Completion of Greek in a Day? While the course is not accreddited, everyone who successfully completes the course will receive a Certification of Completion. As an option for students who choose to participate, at the end of the course a Student Evaluation exam will be available for those who would like to receive a Greek in a Day Diploma. Again, it is not an accredited course, but if you did the work, you may as well hand the proff on your wall.
